About Calimesa California
Calimesa is a city in Riverside California part of the Greater Los Angeles area. as of 2019, Calimesa’s population was 9,160. The name Calimesa is the combination of California and Mesa, the Spanish word for table. Calimesa began as small-town ranches and one-family homes. When U.S. Route 99, which is now Interstate 10, was completed many businesses were established in the city. in 1929 residents wanted to open a post office which ended up being in the grocery store at Calimesa Boulevard and Avenue K. The city of Calimesa was not incorporated until 1990 following the incorporation of neighboring Yucaipa. As of now, there are many planned communities that have been approved for development in Calimesa totaling over 8,000 homes to be constructed.
