About Indian Wells California
Indian Wells is a city in central west Riverside County, California. It was incorporated in 1967. Indian Wells sits between Palm Desert and La Quinta. As of 2019, the population of Indian Wells was 5,470. The total land area of the city is 14.58 square miles and the elevation is at 89 feet above sea level. Historically Indian Wells became an agricultural city know for growing dates. Today Indian Wells is known for hosting the Indian Wells Masters tennis tournament as well as others. The tournaments are held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden which is the second-largest tennis stadium in the world.
